Ernie's Transport Ltd Terms & Conditions
1. Booking
A booking is confirmed once accepted by Ernie's Specialist Transport Ltd. Quotes are based on the information provided by the customer and are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise.
2. Vehicle Information
Customers must advise us before transport if the vehicle is non-running, has steering, braking or mechanical faults, is lowered or modified, has fluid leaks, or has any known issues affecting loading or transport. Failure to disclose this information may result in additional charges or refusal of transport.
3. Modified & Specialist Vehicles
We regularly transport modified, performance and specialist vehicles. Customers must inform us of any modifications affecting ground clearance, width or loading. Every reasonable care will be taken during loading and unloading; however, due to the nature of modified vehicles, absolute clearance cannot be guaranteed.
4. Vehicle Condition
Vehicles should be presented in a condition clean enough for any existing damage to be reasonably identified. A photographic condition report may be completed before collection and after delivery. Ernie's Specialist Transport cannot accept responsibility for damage that could not reasonably be identified due to dirt, contamination or poor visibility.
5. Fuel
Vehicles should contain sufficient fuel for loading and unloading. Where possible, customers are asked to avoid leaving vehicles with a completely full fuel tank to reduce the risk of fuel spillage during transport.
6. Collection & Delivery
Customers must ensure safe access for the transporter, keys are available, and someone is available at collection and delivery unless otherwise agreed. Waiting times exceeding 30 minutes may incur additional charges.
7. Personal Belongings
Please remove all valuables and personal belongings before transport. Items left inside the vehicle remain the customer's responsibility unless agreed in writing beforehand.
8. Delivery Times
Collection and delivery times are estimates. Traffic, weather, road closures, vehicle breakdowns and other circumstances outside our control may cause delays.
9. Insurance
Vehicles are transported under Goods in Transit insurance, subject to the insurer's terms and conditions. Any concerns regarding vehicle condition should be raised before the transporter leaves the delivery location.
10. Cancellation
Cancellations made within 24 hours of the agreed collection time may incur a cancellation charge.
11. Payment
Payment is due before or upon delivery unless otherwise agreed in writing.
12. Liability
Ernie's Specialist Transport will exercise every reasonable care whilst transporting your vehicle. We cannot accept responsibility for existing damage, mechanical or electrical failures, damage resulting from undisclosed defects, or consequential losses including loss of earnings or business interruption.
13. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
